Always know where you left off in your latest favorite book with one of these handcrafted and highly detailed wooden bookmarks! This selection of bookmarks is dedicated to the works of Oxford Professor and author J.R.R. Tolkien, creator of the much-loved high fantasy world of Middle-Earth. Whether reading a hardcover or softcover novel, game rulebook, or coffee-table book, one of these beautiful bookmarks will always ensure your place is saved - while displaying your appreciation of the immersive world of Professor Tolkien.
> These bookmarks are IN STOCK and READY TO SHIP; slight variances in color and wood grain are the only difference from bookmark to bookmark, in the case of multiple inventories. In the event of an "Out of Stock" item, please message me - if I have the wood in stock, I can produce another in 3-5 days. A custom request for any featured design on a different wood type is also possible, if the requested wood is currently in stock. <
There are several designs and different wood types available; please use the drop-down selector to indicate your option, based upon the corresponding numbered examples presented in the photos. The bookmark design featured will be the one you receive.
Each bookmark is engraved and precision cut with a powerful laser engraver from a selection of 1/16-inch thick domestic and exotic hardwoods. Some of the woods used are: Bloodwood, Canarywood, Cherry, Mahogany, Monkeypod, Padauk, Walnut, Wenge, and Yellowheart. The bookmarks are treated with a wood hardener, which imbues the fibers of the wood grain with a durable clear acrylic, reinforcing them significantly. Copper, gold, or silver leaf accents are available in some designs. No stain or pigment is used; the colors are of the actual wood types when treated and then sealed by a satin lacquer, which further protects the wood for a long-lasting finish. A colorful 5-inch silk tassel is threaded through a hole in the top (except for the Tolkien Barad-Dur bookmarks - one does not simply thread through the Eye of Sauron!). Each bookmark is approximately 1.125-inch wide by 7-inches in height and works very well in both hardcover and paperback editions.

PLEASE NOTE: All of my items are crafted by me, in my home studio and workshop. I am a one-man show, with no ‘production partners’ to help mass-produce any item (though I will source pawns, etc. from quality reputable dealers). Be assured that when you buy an item from me, you are getting a distinctive creation from the original maker. Given the inherent nature of the handcrafted work, time frames for more complex creations, whether the complexity is the art, the build, or a combination of both, can be extensive. Please be patient; I communicate and update customers regularly with the status of their unique creation(s).

During the Christmas holiday season, I can quickly become VERY busy; typically putting in 12 hour days in order to make holiday shipping deadlines.
Please plan ahead - I begin taking Christmas orders in late August, but due to workload, I will close the shop to further made-to-order requests the first week of December. Ready to ship items remain listed and ship as stated in their listing.
In the case of any custom or Made To Order item, I try very hard to meet the listed production/ship time for the listed item. However, I am a one-man shop, and the handcrafted nature of the work, particularly during busy periods, can cause delays. If you require your item by a specific date, please inquire first. I do not rush the work, as I want each piece to be exceptional and worthy to the person purchasing it. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and of course, your patronage!
