This set of Elder Futhark runes features beautiful hardwood runes which are stored within an equally stunning box; the box is adorned with an engraving of Yggdrasil, surrounded by the runic alphabet, thus the name "Roots of Wisdom". This eye-catching set is sure to please anyone interested in runic divination and/or Nordic lore. The method of layered construction for the box makes for a very durable creation, certain to last many years and readings! The chest components have been precisely cut and decorated with a high-powered laser engraver, then the parts are hand assembled using a cyanoacrylate glue specifically formulated for wood, creating an incredibly strong bond. The decorative particulars are attained by use of two wood stains, an oil base for the body of the box and a water-based stain for the frame pieces. The box is held closed magnetically. Green and blue mirror acrylic inlays are installed into the top design and lid knob, a final touch to create a striking overall theme and appearance. The box interior is fully lined in a deep green jeweler's velour. The runes are crafted from 100% hardwood (buyer's choice), and have a great hand feel and resiliency. The runes backs are plain to allow the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. Two runic styles are available.

Wholesale availability
Due to the nature of the majority of my work, and the typical amount of business that comes through my shop, wholesale items are not available.

Holiday ordering
During the Christmas holiday season, I can quickly become VERY busy; typically putting in 12 hour days in order to make holiday shipping deadlines.
Please plan ahead - I begin taking Christmas orders in late August, but due to workload, I will close the shop to further made-to-order requests the first week of December. Ready to ship items remain listed and ship as stated in their listing.
Shipping times
In the case of any custom or Made To Order item, I try very hard to meet the listed production/ship time for the listed item. However, I am a one-man shop, and the handcrafted nature of the work, particularly during busy periods, can cause delays. If you require your item by a specific date, please inquire first.
